Laws ClassThe Education Program at The American Seminary for Contemporary Judaism is designed to train future Jewish Educators to function within the various parameters and environments of today’s Synagogue religious schools and day schools.

The instructional objectives of the Jewish Education program are founded on the concept of providing students the optimum opportunity for professional training through both instruction and hands-on experience in the field of Jewish education as it relates to today‘s Talmud Torahs. The students who graduate from the Education Program of The ASCJ will be prepared to take on the responsibility of educating the future generations of Jewish youth and young adults in the American Jewish community.

The Jewish Education Program is a full-time two year course leading to a Certification in Teaching. It is made up of required course and electives. Students may enroll in the program on a part-time basis upon permission from the ASCJ Administration.

THE CERTIFICATE IN EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION PROGRAMClass - 2 students at table

The Educational Administration Program at The American Seminary for Contemporary Judaism is designed to train future Jewish Educational Directors and Principals to lead and supervise the religious schools and day schools of the American Jewish community of the 21st century. The Program’s instructional and programmatic objectives are founded on the concept of providing its students the maximum professional training and hands-on experiences, geared towards preparing them for leadership roles in their future careers. The students will be prepared to take on the overall responsibility of formulating and administering learning environments whose main objective is the Jewish education of future Jewish generations of Jewish youth and young adults in the American Jewish community.

The Educational Administration Program is a full-time, two year course leading to a Certification in Educational Administration. In order to take these courses, the student must have completed or be eligible for the ASCJ Teacher Certificate prior to enrollment. Students may enroll in the program on a part-time basis upon permission from the ASCJ administration.
